Viacreme Expiration Date
Questions
What is the
expiration date on the product?
The product was originally stamped 8/2002, and then the manufacturer
released these letters stating that the
product should have been stamped 8/2003.
Why would anyone
consider buying expired product?
First, the expiration date only indicates the amount of time that the
product was tested for. It does not indicate that the Viacreme
goes bad after two years. We believe that this product will
actually be effective for years, and our customers seem to agree.
Secondly, because of the expiration date, we are selling this product at
a dramatic discount. Why
not just sell newer Viacreme?
We would if we could, but due to a legal dispute over the name "Viacreme",
a settlement was reached between the manufacturer and another company
that forbid any manufactur of product named "Viacreme" after
8/2001. All the product we sell comes from that last batch
produced. What
should someone do if they are just not comfortable buying product that
is technically expired?
We sell two good alternatives to Viacreme. Alura is the name the
manufacturer chose after being forced to stop using the name Viacreme.
While more expensive, it is newly manufactured. Escalate is
much cheaper than Viacreme on a per dose basis, and
uses the exact same active ingredients.
